Due to the recent discovery of WoW’s method of ‘preventing cheating’, I have decided to cancel my account. Subsequently, I am no longer developing any addons. Anybody who would like to pick up TrapTimer is welcome to.

Release – TrapTimer R/1
General Information -
My first addon, TrapTimer, has now been released for general use. A simple addon targeted at Hunters that use traps in PvP and PvE, TrapTimer displays both an overhead, text based alert and optionally a visible countdown bar of the time remaining on a trap that has been set. It will also display similar warnings when a trap is set off while you’re within range, as well as alert you if a trap has simply expired from the world. Finally, because it’s an Ace based addon, it’s memory footprint is very tiny, and can be turned completely off in-game by entry of a simple command – no UI reload needed!
Requirements -
Ace, Version 1.2.4 or higher. Get it at wowace.com
Timex, Version 16b or higher. Get it at its wowace.com forums thread.
Be sure to read readme.txt in the zip file before using for the first time for more information on how to set up the addon.
Credits -
Rowne – Both for the creation of Timex, without which TrapTimer wouldn’t have been possible, and for endless hours of helping me to debug the addon. It’s only with his help that TrapTimer even got to the point of releasability, and I owe him a great deal of gratitude. Even if he did break some of the earlier pre-release versions of TrapTimer because he kept updating Timex every fifteen minutes. ^_-
Turan – Without Ace, TrapTimer wouldn’t have been possible, and at the very least wouldn’t have been nearly as easy to use and bloat-free as it is.
Norque – For helping to make a first stab at a GUI, which, though ultimately discarded in favor of a /chat command driven interface, gave me a good idea of where to start for the next try at building one.

…but this is just a temporary post. Check back in a little while, there’ll be something worth reading. I hope.
